Loss of HAIR around my puppy's left eye?

i have a weenie dog he is 6 months old he started losing the hair around his left eye. i showed my vet ';not of any concern'; she said but he is not scratching at it. the hair loss just move further and further out from around the eye in a circle. what causes this. how can i cure it. i have three small kids in the home with him . i would like to know if it's something that they can get sense human and dogs can get sick from each other.Loss of HAIR around my puppy's left eye?

Since it is hard to see exactly what it is, I would call you vet and tell them that the hair loss has changed or move. They should know that. If you don't fee comfortable with what this vet is telling you, I would get a second opinion.





There are only a couple of things that are transmittable from animals to humans (called zoonotic). One is rabies and another is ringworm. Ringworm is not a worm at all. It is a fungal infection. Here is a link to some information:

The ring surrounding the area is characteristic of this disease. There is hairloss on an animal.





If this is what it looks like, let your vet know and have them recheck it.
it sounds like ringworm or mange. both are serious and i would try another vet.
