What causes loss of hair on legs feet constant bitting on skin buttocks area inflamed 4 year old maltese teac?

it's either really bad fleas, mange, or a form of eczema/ take him to the vets to be sure before treating it with anything. What causes loss of hair on legs feet constant bitting on skin buttocks area inflamed 4 year old maltese teac?
Here are a few possibilities:

- Alergies (food, contact... )

- Fleas (allergy to them, infestation...)

- Anal glands are full (since she is biting her rear)

- Boredom

- Obsessive licking and biting that continues after an older incident

The best thing is to take him/her to the Vet. All this biting and licking can create a secondary infection. Most likely she feels miserable because of this.

Good luck! What causes loss of hair on legs feet constant bitting on skin buttocks area inflamed 4 year old maltese teac?
I assume you have checked for fleas. If you have, what type of food are you feeding your dog? Some cheaper dog foods are full of fillers like corn, wheat, chicken by-products like beaks, feathers, feet etc. that can cause allergic reactions in some dogs. I would suggest that you try a high end dog food like California Blend, Canidae, Wysong, Wellness. It may take a few weeks for the results to happen, but I'm willing to bet that it will taken care of the problem.
