Loss of hair at 17 help?

Hi, i am 17 and i have had thick hair all my life... and ive always kept it pretty long but just recently i have noticed that its falling out in the shower.

I am very healthy i have had my fair share of checkups and i am taking pills for healthy hair, i use all the detanglers and heat protectants split end menders. I dont blow dry my hair often i just let it air dry. Ive tried different shampoos and conditioners..result is the same.

I really cant figure it out... its about in the middle of my back, would it maybe be better if i cut it off? would that help? I really dont like to go short but i wanna save my hair, so if there is a nessicary length to save it what is the length?

ThanksLoss of hair at 17 help?
as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)

It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!Loss of hair at 17 help?
you cant make your hair grow longer or fuller and thicker by chopping it off its just a myth. cutting it off has nothing to do with inside your head or your roots. make sure the pills are recomended by a doctor becuase most pills have side affects. However if you visit a hair stylist or prffesional salon they will recomend great hair shampoos or sprays that you spray on your roots wich really helps
You could be losing it because of stress.

Either way i suggest you go to your dr before you do anything.

Ask them about the best ways are to keep your hair. They may refer you to a specialist that can help you better. If not, and you're still worried, organise a consult with a specialist yourself.

I doubt cutting your hair would help much.
may be the water u are using not suits your hair

put dettol two or three drops in water and then wash ur hairs this will make the water germs free...n most probably solve ur problem...
Eating Disorders can make your hair fall out so please be honest with youself! Second stop taking those pills you dont honestly know what is in them. Dont brush your hair as often because that can make your hair fall out if you brush to much. It could be genetic, so talk to you parents. and eat more protein, fish, meats, nuts, edemame and healthy fats as well. Also you may want to get a check up especially if it isnt a family trait, you could have lupis( which is a full on medical disease,) if the thinning is happening at such a fast rate. Check web md if you want to check for symptoms.

Prayer can also help

Good Luck!
