In human being the scalp hair are asynchronous, that means different hair follicles in different stage of hair cycle. Every cycle of average 100days consist of four stages called anaphase, prophase, metaphase and telophase. In every three years this cycle gets enhanced that may also cause rapid hair loss but there won't bee any obvious changes like thinning of hair etc. Pathologically there are many causes simply vitamin deficiency, sensitivity to shampoo, hair oil, or more complicated is hormonal causes like thyroid problem or testosterone deficiency in males. Sometimes in females oestrogen deficiency also induces hair loss. Depending upon the cause the treatment has to be taken. If you can give more details than specific treatment can be suggested.
There are various reasons for hair falling

1. Tension - for this be cool and calm

2. Lack of nutritive food - Have a real fruits and iron rich foods

3. over travelling or too much of exposure to sun - take oil bath and regular application of oil on hair.

4. Keep clean your head - take sampoo bath twice a week

5. Seasonal variation - According to the season maintain the hair

The faster way to really change the health of your hair is by taking supplements that work internally on the follicle where hair is made; that can only happen with systemically provided support, which means supplements that you take internally.. Keep in mind, regardless of how many or how much you take of any supplement, hair is never going to grow at a ';Jack and the beanstalk'; type of rate, the most you can hope for is to improve the strength and health of each hair follicle and to see an incremental increase in the rate of its growth

HAIR LOSS

It is quite natural to lose about fifty to hundred a day. More than this amount of hair loss could result from any one of a number of factors and may be cause for concern.

Cause:-

* Daily repetition of certain hairstyles, like hair tightly pulled back, braided or wrapped around rollers can pull out individual hairs. Such pulling can damage and destroy follicles completely and the hair will not grow back.

* Emotional stress may bring on alppecia areata, a disorder that results in bald patches on the scalp and may be associated with changes in the immune system. Emotional stress can also cause hair to fall from parts of the scalp.

* Body stress is also known to cause excessive hair loss. Hair loss can result from pregnancy or begin when a woman stop taking birth control pills.

cure:

It is better to see a trichologist if handfuls of hair fall out after shampooing. For mild hair loss, use products that tone and invigorate the scalp and stimulate the growth. Scalping massage is good, which aside from being relaxing and reducing stress levels, loosens and stimulates the scalp and promotes healthy hair growth.

Most hair loss is temporary, but when the follicles are destroyed by serious scalp burns, excessive exposure to x-rays, or vital infection, hair loss can be permanent.

They also have treatments for dry scalp. Hope this helps.
Hey mate....

Our hormones govern the development of hair that appears after puberty. The male hormone, testosterone, governs beard, body hair and hair in the armpits. The female hormone, estrogen, generally prevents hair growth on the chin and encourages it to grow on the head. Occasionally women develop signs of hair loss or baldness when estrogen levels drop. Treatment with estrogen has been successful in restoring hair growth and stopping of hair loss.

Eat a protein rich diet including green leafy vegetables, carrots, soybean, mango, dried apricots, whole grain cereals, sprouts, lentils, yeast, wheat germ, milk, yogurt (curd), and buttermilk in the daily diet.

Ringworm! The best thing to do is get him in to the vet to get an antifungal shampoo. If that's not an option, call the shelter to see if they can get one for you. The best is Malaseb or Chlorhexaderm. Also go to the drug store, and get a tube of Lamisol cream (it's for athlete's foot). Put a thin film of it over the spots, twice a day. He needs to be bathed, though, to get the ringworm spores off his fur so that he doesn't keep getting more lesions. If you can't get the shampoo, go to a local feed store for Lyme sulfur dip. Follow the directions, especially about sponging it on his face and head. It smells bad but it's very effective. Expect to be treating him for at least 3-4 weeks. If you end up with some lesions, use the Lamisol on yourself as well. It's a nuisance, but not the end of the world.Help my 8 week kitten has pink reddish eyelid and loss of hair around it?
You really need to get the kitten to a vet..loss of hair and swelling is never good. I don't know where you live but many places have low cost vet clinics. You really need to take it to a vet. Or please bring it back to the shelter where you got it from and have them treat it...you have to do something.
I agree totally with JC. I just wanted to add, as a precaution, that you really should treat the redness in the eye as a separate issue. I think that very well may be Conjunctivitis and that will require Terramycin. Conjunctivitis is a frequent problem with shelter pets because so many are housed in such close proximity and it's highly contagious just like ringworm.

My scalp is red, itchy and it hurts, with loss of hair, the doctor said I had Dermititis, How can I stop it?

Im a 21yr old Female, I stareted noticing thining of my hair, then itchyness, red spots and now i noticed hair loss. Im becoming depressed because of it.My scalp is red, itchy and it hurts, with loss of hair, the doctor said I had Dermititis, How can I stop it?
go back to the doctor, there must be something else that can help.My scalp is red, itchy and it hurts, with loss of hair, the doctor said I had Dermititis, How can I stop it?
Been on minoxidil ( R0gaine庐 ) for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.

My hair only started visibly growing on the balding spot after attempting the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair for about 1 week plus @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info

I would highly recommend the website easy to follow step-by-step informative guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now. But remember this isn't a miracle cure for baldness as you will also need to put in some effort in order to see results. And its only a minimum commitment of 15 minutes a day to help re-grow your lost hair. ( Sorry that I can't share the various natural techniques taught as i might be sued for copyright violation )

I am also convinced that a natural approach is a much more safer way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have serious side effects.

These are the side effects of some common drugs for hair loss treatment :

Minoxidil : Cause a fall in blood pressure, an increase in the heart rate, and weight gain (fluid retention)

Propecia : May cause birth defects in male baby's sex organs if taken by women. Also, potentially irreversible side effects occurring in the group of people taking the drug are erectile dysfunction, ejaculation disorder (decreased volume of ejaculate) and low libido.

I have chest/back pain on left side with loss of hair, joint pain, fatigue, headaches, dizziness & more. HELP

I have been having these symptoms along with digestive problems, a rash on my face on the bottom corners of my mouth off and on, headaches almost every day and low grade fever spikes. My white blood cells have been elevated for 5 out of 6 months when I first started going to the doctor. I first went in because I have a lump in my neck on the left side (not thyroid, already tested twice along with a ultra sound, CT scan and a tube down my throat with nothing to be seen). They sent me all over then I switched doctors and she told me that it was an inflamed muscle along with the rest of the pain I have been having on my left side. They have me hooked to a heart monitor for the next month. I have had many diagnosis over my life time and I am now wondering can this all be one thing. I am at a loss and I am just so tired of being sick and tired. Also, have you gone to a infectious Disease doctor?Don't give up, no one cares more about your health than you do. There is definitely something wrong. Are you scouring the internet? It can provide alot of help in Diagnosis. This worked when my Mom was so ill and they couldn't find anything. Finally I stumbled upon her illness- addisons disease. And now the Doctors are treating her.She would have died if I had not been so persistent.I will pray for you that you find answers.

Hairloss & PCOS: What has helped you with your loss of hair?

I also dealt with hair loss and started having a receding hairline. That is partly because of the elevated testosterone in your system.

It is very important to get on Metformin. After I began my metformin treatment the hair loss greatly decreased! Now it is normal. I was on 1000mg per day for a few years and then I started noticing the hair loss increasing again and my dosage was increased to 1500 mg per day and the hair loss again stopped.

I don't understand why your Dr. won't put you on Metformin because you are TTC. It is very common to be on that med while TTC and safe during pregnancy.

Is your Dr. a specialist? IF not you may want to consider seeing one. Talk to your Dr. about the benefit of Metformin while TTC.Hairloss %26amp; PCOS: What has helped you with your loss of hair?

    OK

Most hairloss treatments are based on increasing blood flow to the scalp. This is one of the main causes of hairloss.

Regular head massages can stimulate bloodflow.

However there are other causes for hairloss and if you stop the massage whatever effects you may have had are likely to stop.

This is the same for many treatments.

    Good Luck !

My dog has a weird bump and loss of hair on her chest?

i noticed tonight my dog has this bump and loss of fur, and it had some dried blood.its pink and inflamed..i'm not sure what it is. i washed the area and disinfected it and put antibacterial stuff on it..but i'm sure if this is something she needs to see the vet about.. if anyone has any ideas whether she was stratching or rubbed up against something or whether she was bit by something.

    http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i201/sweetkatness/DSC00398.jpg

there is a quick pic of the areaMy dog has a weird bump and loss of hair on her chest?
Looks like a bug bite. When in doubt, see the vet. Please let us know what you find out.My dog has a weird bump and loss of hair on her chest?
Definitely something to see the vet about. The vet can at least give you some pain medication and antibiotics that are safe for your dog to use, and tell you things to look out for, as well as maybe test for cancers if there's still a bump left.
I'm guessing an abcess! She may have had a grass seed in bedded in her skin that caused an infection. The vet will need to open it up so the pus can drain and give either antibiotics or an antibacterial cream.

Other wise it could be a bite.
Take your dog to the vet ASAP. It cold be a tumor or anything like that and could be potentialy dangerous. A vet will be able to give your more of an educated answer than any of us on here.
you should take your dog to the vet asap, it could be nothing but it could also be something more sinister, the vet will be able to tell you more when he has a look and give antibiotics etc
Could be cancer or maybe a flea allergy

Does anyone have experience with food allergies, loss of hair in a cat?

For the past few weeks, I've been transitioning my cats to a wet-food only diet (because it's healthier) - only top brand foods - Wellness, by Nature Organics, Blue Buffalo, Avoderm and Natural Balance, to name a few.

I've tried lots of them, lots of different flavors, over the past two weeks. And now my 9 month old kitten has developed a food allergy. Since I've introduced so many new foods, I'm having trouble finding out what the true culprit is, to cut it out of his diet.

Has anyone had experiences with this? And has anyone had any success in treating it with a diet change? I'm moving him to Natural Balance Duck and Pea today.

His symptoms are: Scratching at his neck and overgrooming, along with fur loss in this area. No mange, mites, fleas, scabbing or lesions. Just the hair loss. He's active, crazy and happy, no stress and eating and using the litterbox well.

The vet just wants to pump him full of steroids and see if that helps, but I'm a little reluctant.

Thanks for any infoDoes anyone have experience with food allergies, loss of hair in a cat?
Steroids treat the symptoms, not the cause.

My cat went through this twice before I realized that she was still getting some of her old dry food. Took it away, she's been fine ever since.

Cut out all wheat/corn/soy. See if that works. Usually this is easily done by switching to a canned food that doesn't have gravy in it. If that doesn't work you need to look at protein source. Fish is top culprit, then beef. Chicken is actually lower on the list of usual suspects. Novel proteins like duck or venison are a good idea as long as the grains aren't included.

Your vet is obviously not interested in nutrition, too bad.Does anyone have experience with food allergies, loss of hair in a cat?
Cats actually NEED a dry food, as well as canned food - I would do both.

Next - stop changing his diet. It may not even be allergies, hair loss wouldn't be the only symptom if that were the case.

Hair loss can signify Hyperthyroidism. Have him tested for that by your Vet.

Is he losing weight? Increased water intake?
First, I would find a better vet.

I had to do this with one of my cats. However, my vet recommended a specific prescription diet. That was all my cat could eat for 3 weeks. If he stopped licking himself, then it was a food allergy; otherwise, there is an emotional/stress trigger causing the problem.

However, some cats will lick their fur off. Just so happens that my cat likes to lick his fur off. My cat has no stress either (active, crazy and happy, eating, and using the litterbox fine), but sometimes there can be links to past abuse. Mine was a saved kitten from a very bad home. I got him when he was very young 6-8 weeks old. But I am positive there was abuse.

At this point, we (the vet and I) believe it is emotional licking.
I wish I could help....I've never experienced this although I've read up on it some.

I'll post a link which may help.

One thing I've heard is that cats seem to develop intolerances to chicken the most. That and fish. So if any of the foods you've chosen have chicken as the main or sole meat, you might want to eliminate those. And if any are fishy or include any fishy items as ingredients, you might want to put those aside too.

    Good choices, by the way!
You yourself said it....you have tried him on several different foods.....cats can not handle frequent dietary changes...my advice is stick to one for a few weeks and see if the skin thing clears up...if not...dr knows best!!!
I would go with one flavor food and try for a few days and if that doesn't work another flavor.

I see you have some brands you are listing that have veggies and carbs in. Please check Janet and Binky's Food Chart and pick a food that is high in protein and under 10% carbs.

Chicken is often safe. Rabbit is good but I think that may be only raw food that you can buy on line. Beef is often a cause for allergies and fish and shell fish like shrimp. My cat is to the point of not breathing if she gets shrimp.

Steriods work but will often give your cat diabetes.

IF you go that route please remember felinediabetes.com and come there when he gets diabetes. Over 4000 members there with diabetic cats.

    Good luck.

Many times an all raw diet really works.
if your giving milk stop this,my cat could not have this, dont get vet to give steroids if you can there no good for your cat
I hate it when people use the term' 'pump full of' - the vet isn't going to use a pump, he's going to give you some tablets. Which will very likely help hugely with the problem. Vets are aware that this is a short term fix - but at least this would relieve your cat's discomfort while you figure out what's wrong.

Why don't you go to the vet and tell them you need help figuring out what's causing this, so they can actually assist you with that. If they don't seem to want to, then this is a bad attitude and you need to find another vet! But you do not need online help.

    Chalice
Glad you don't want the steroids. You should be reluctant.

Also, I am very glad you are changing to a healthier diet. From your brands, I assume they are all grain free? If not, I would eliminate the ones with any grains first. If that doesn't do it, then you have to eliminate by flavors. I would start by removing any fish flavors.

Without ibd which your kitten doesn't have, I would look for allergents around the house Best of luck

Can temporary hair loss result in loss of hair at the crown?

While stress/thyroid/vitamin deficiency can cause hair loss, is it normal to fall out at the crown of the head? It seems like it would fall out in general and not be isolated to a specific area, which is why I'm concerned. I am developing a very slight bald spot at my crown where my natural part starts.

I am skeptical it is hereditary, as baldness does not run in my family at all. I am pretty high-strung. I notice 5-6 hairs when I shampoo and have been shedding lightly for maybe 6 months. I know hair loss is normal on a daily basis and have never had ';clumps'; come out.

I plan to go get tested for a thyroid disorder (runs rampant in my family), and also tested for any Iron/Protein deficiency. Can temporary hair loss result in loss of hair at the crown?
Your age would have been helpful here.

Male patten baldness is hereditary, however other things can cause hair loss. Hormones out of whack, i.e. testosterone. Some steroid users have trouble with their hair for this reason.

Stress will definitely not be good for it.

I'd go to the doctor, he can run the tests and see if anything is going on that's fixable. Can temporary hair loss result in loss of hair at the crown?
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Bought a wig due to loss of hair brought on by chemotherapy. Does it look realistic?

I'm 17, male and have a quite severe form of skin cancer. The cancer has caused my hair to fall out and I'm left with several bald patches which is really getting me down. I know the NHS supply cancer patients such as myself with wigs but I've not seen any I like and the one I bought off Ebay looks pretty stylish, I reckon.

Do you think it looks realistic? I've always had jet black hair so the colour of the wig is right for me in that sense.

I would appreciate your honest opinions.

now day's mustly people suffer from this kind's of problem loss hair is depend our diet which diet we have taking and our internal situation. Please be a problem free don't presrize your head and take good diet like salad and juice is good for you and for dandruff use some lemon drop with almond oil and message three time in a week and wash next day after wash bind your hair with wet towel which is wet from steamy water
YES,,,,, ACTUALLY THIS IS BECAUSE OF COMBING UR HAIRS AFTER EVERY MIN., HRS................
    eat good
use pantene-hair fall control shampoo and its conditioner

    i tried.it really works
The main reason I have figured out is lack of stimulating the scalp with clean and rinse. Smoke and ashtrays cause hair loss. Listen to a man before a woman about the issue becaue men seem to fall apart easier from pollution in my opinion. Try less hot water when showering. Lean back into a rinse instead of forward. Shampoo and rub scalp and hair for ten minutes straight sometimes. Once in awhile show it some care with a brush. Gel. Gel is good. Slick it back after lathering it on. The slight pressure at the border of the hair stimulates it and you will notice progress in your next hair wash. When sleeping, observe the surface your head is upon. Clean pillow-cases often.
The main reason is your food habits plus unnecessary thinking of what happens next. Be cool and accept what it may come and never allow shampoo or unnatural elements to wash your hair. Take bath every walk and avoid masala foods and Water, pollution do cause. Hence, boiled water and warm water bath keep your hair black. Avoid frequent visits pollution zone areas. Natural breeze and healthy atmosphere and habits prevent loss of hair.

Golden retriever - Major loss of hair?

    Hello,

My golden is a 6 year old female that is loosing her hair...

She has a bald spot on the side of her neck and she is starting to get streaks on her back she is shedding massively. she has a history of thyroid problems the vet gave us pills for that but we found out that could be what is causing her seizures... the hair loss has mostly happen within the last 6 months.

I really care a lot about here and i just need to know if there is something that i can do to make the rest of her life worth living.Golden retriever - Major loss of hair?
Thyroid problems as well as hormone imbalance can be the cause of it. My 1st GR got it when she 1st came in heat. The hormones in her body was changing so that caused her to lose hair in patches. She looked horrible. My other GR now has Hypothyroidism after her spay surgery %26amp; I don't know what's the real cause of it but anyway, she used to lose a lot of hair almost every two months. She is now on medication for life %26amp; her hair has not dropped off ever since. She has very thick double coat %26amp; I live in a hot %26amp; humid country %26amp; I don't even leave my A/C on often.

I think the reason why your dog started shedding heavily is because you stopped the medication. I'm not really sure but it could be the cause of it. Now, I don't know when you stopped her medication but if her hair loss started after the medication was stopped, then I think it's because of that.

You might want to get a second opinion from a different Vet. She probably may need to go through a blood test but sometimes, nothing can be found that is causing it. And the only thing that you can think of that is causing it is her thyroid problem.

Hope this helped you a bit.

ADD: Like I said earlier on, go get another opinion from a different Vet %26amp; there might be another type of medication for her. If the seizures still persist, then maybe she cannot be treated because she has some allergy reaction to the pills %26amp; you just have to live with the problem she has right now. She will always be shedding. You cannot stop it. Only the pills can.Golden retriever - Major loss of hair?
The thyroid is what is causing her hair loss. It is time to due another thyroid panel and check her levels and see if her medication needs to be increased.
Take her to the vet. Try to get a few opinions from different vets in your area. Sounds like it might be mange.
Sounds like she has what they call Mange take her to a vet.
CALL YOUR VET plz people common sense instead of asking us dial that phone!!!
It's not mange, it's definitely a thyroid issue. I work with golden retrievers and this is extremely, and unfortunately, common. The streaks of hair loss down the back is a certain sign of low thyroid. Also, they usually start losing hair on their tail. It is typically a parallel hair loss, meaning both sides of the body will lose hair at the same spot parallel to each other.

We had a dog at our rescue that was suffering from seizures who was later found to have a low thyroid. Our vet told us the opposite of what your vet told you. She said evening out the thyroid levels (by taking medication) would HELP DECREASE seizures. One of our vets must be wrong.

You may want to research online (for instance - go to the soloxine website) or go to other dog specific forums to see if anyone else has dealt with this. Good luck, I really feel bad for your girl.

Could a rappid loss of hair on a kitten with fleas be caused by lack of colostrum im mum's milk?

Tigga is 4 weeks old today I think, don't exactly know when he was born, but his eyes were shut for the first week I knew him. His mother left the day after I first found him. He has fleas and has lost all the hair on his back right up to his head. I've seen other kittens with fleas and such extensive hair loss hasn't happened with them. I don't know how long the mother nursed him. It may have been just for a day. Could a lack of this colostrum undermine Tigga's immune system causing him to react so badly to flea with this Rapid hair loss?Could a rappid loss of hair on a kitten with fleas be caused by lack of colostrum im mum's milk?
Fleas in a young kitten can lead to anaemia so its important that he is treated and only by a vet in a kitten so young,

it could be his immune system being lower than it would had his mother fed him but this too can happen with flea allergy but flea allergy causes sores on the skin and you don't mention this,

so get him to be examined by a vet and mention it to the vet that he is bottle fed and take along the milk formula you are using so the vet can advise you if it has enough vitamins for him now he is 4 weeks old.Could a rappid loss of hair on a kitten with fleas be caused by lack of colostrum im mum's milk?
Yes, but getting rid of the fleas is more impotant. Flea dip time at the vet is needed. Shots and deworming should be considered. Then the vet can answer the cause of the hair loss. Most likely from aggressive scratching.
Allergic and irritant contact dermatitis can cause a hair loss in cats. Or a bacterial infection(pyorderma). The best thing to do is take your cat to vet for some test and intervention.
yes but not likely most likely its an allergic reaction take him to a vet asap
I do not think so. I just read that kitten absorb antibodies from their mother's colostrum for just the first 16 hours after birth.

    http://www.sniksnak.com/cathealth/colost鈥?/a>

It does seem like some sot of inflammatory response is going on though. Could be the formula you are feeding in combination with the fleas.

Perhaps try changing to a goat milk based one. That should work if it a response to the foreign proteins in the cow's milk based one ( if it is KMR). You could try a homemade goat milk one.

Or it could be an essential fatty acid deficiency. You could research the fatty acid profiles of cat and cow milk.

One more idea is to supplement the kitten's formula with a couple drops of salmon oil. Salmon oil contains long-chain fatty acids that have anti-inflammatory effects.

Wish I could be more help to you, I know how you have been fussing over this little fellow from your previous posts.

I hope it is resolved quickly.

Everyone loses hair and this is inescapable, but there is no reason not to push back the process. Here's how you can do that: Make a drink by blending bananas, honey, yogurt and low fat milk. This drink is rich in biotin and will help your hair to have strong roots. Ensure your diet is rich in Vitamin B6, zinc and saw palmetto. Use supplements if you cannot get enough from natural food sources. Bend your head while you are shampooing and massage your scalp. This will increase blood circulation to the scalp.

Get rid of stress and this is most dangerous for your lovely hair. Get sufficient sleep. Like a healthy body, healthy hair too needs a good night's sleep.
    heat oil bfore u apply
Naturally we are suppose to shed 100 strands a day, however if don't protect our hair we'll lose more.

Always cover your hair at night with a silk or satin scarf. (If you can't tolerate head coverings at night get a silk or satin pillowcase)!

Use protectant before you blowdry or curl your hair!

Blowdry and or curl your hair only one -two times a week!

Talk to your dermatologist about what's best for your hair type!
use pantene shampoo and apply hair oil every night before u going to sleep.
    Dont Worry!

Advanced vector calculus proves that it is impossible to comb all hairs on a male human head in the same general direction, even with the application of copious quantities of superhold styling gel. As a result, there exists (at least) one point on every male human head of which the hair growing from out of all surrounding points spirals outwards. This particular point (termed a ';bald spot'; in barberology) lacks hair, because the sun shines there without mercy, like in a lifeless desert. Therefore, all men possess (at least) one bald spot, especially Socrates.
Yes, the easiest way to prevent this is to grow younger instead of older. Set your mind to it, like a Jedi.

Baldness or hair loss is typically something only adults need to worry about. But in a few cases, teens lose their hair, too 鈥?and it may be a sign that something's going on. Hair loss during adolescence can mean a person's sick or maybe just not eating right. Some medications or medical treatments, like chemotherapy treatment for cancer, also cause people to lose their hair. And people can even lose their hair if they wear a hairstyle that pulls on their hair for a long time, such as braids.

Losing hair can be stressful during a time when appearance really matters, but the good news is that hair loss that happens during the teen years is often temporary. Once the problem that causes it is corrected, the hair usually grows back.

    Hair Basics

Our hair is made of a type of protein called keratin. A single hair consists of a hair shaft (the part that shows), a root below the skin, and a follicle, from which the hair root grows. At the lower end of the follicle is the hair bulb, where the hair's color pigment, or melanin, is produced.

Most people lose about 50 to 100 head hairs a day. These hairs are replaced 鈥?they grow back in the same follicle on your head. This amount of hair loss is totally normal and no cause for worry. If you're losing more than that, though, something may be wrong. The medical term for hair loss 鈥?losing enough hair that a person has visibly thin or balding patches 鈥?is alopecia.

If you have unusual hair loss and don't know what's causing it, it's a good idea to see your doctor. A doctor can determine why the hair is falling out and suggest a treatment that will correct the underlying problem, if necessary.

    What Causes Hair Loss?

Here are some of the things that can cause hair loss in teens:

    * Illnesses or medical conditions. Endocrine (hormonal) conditions, such as uncontrolled diabetes or thyroid disease, can interfere with hair production and cause hair loss. People with kidney and liver diseases and lupus can also lose hair. The hormone imbalance that occurs in polycystic ovary syndrome can cause hair loss in teen girls as well as adult women.

    * Medications. Some medications that have hair loss as a side effect may be prescribed for teens. These include acne medicines like isotretinoin, and lithium, which is used to treat bipolar disorder. Diet pills that contain amphetamines can also cause hair loss. Chemotherapy drugs for cancer are probably the most well-known medications that cause hair loss, but some cancers including leukemia and lymphoma can cause hair loss even before treatment begins.

    * Alopecia areata (pronounced: air-ee-ah-tuh). This skin disease causes hair loss on the scalp and sometimes elsewhere on the body. It affects 1.7% of the population, including more than 4 million people in the United States. Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune disease, in which the hair follicles are damaged by a person's own immune system. (In autoimmune diseases, the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells, tissues, and organs in a person's body.) Alopecia areata usually starts as one or more small, round bald patches on the scalp and can progress to total hair loss, although total hair loss only happens in a small number of cases. Both guys and girls can get it, and it often begins in childhood. The hair usually grows back in 6 months to 2 years, but not always.

    * Trichotillomania (pronounced: trik-o-til-uh-may-nee-uh). Trichotillomania is a psychological disorder in which people repeatedly pull their hair out, often leaving bald patches. It results in areas of baldness and damaged hairs of different lengths. People with trichotillomania usually need professional help from a therapist or other mental health professional before they can stop pulling their hair out.

    * Hair treatments and styling. Having your hair chemically treated, such as getting your hair colored, bleached, straightened, or permed, can cause damage that may make the hair break off or fall out temporarily. Another type of baldness that results from hair styling can actually be permanent: If a person wears his or her hair pulled so tightly that it places tension on the scalp, it can result in a condition called traction alopecia. Traction alopecia can be permanent if the style is worn for a long enough time that it damages the hair follicles.

    * Poor nutrition. Poor eating can contribute to hair loss. This is why some people with eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia lose their hair: The body isn't getting enough protein, vitamins, and minerals to sustain hair growth. Some teens who are vegetarians also lose their hair if they don't get enough protein from non-meat sources. And some athletes are at higher risk for hair loss because they may be more likely to develop iron-deficiency anemia.

    * Disruption of the hair growth cycle. Some major events can alter the hair's growth cycle temporarily. For example, delivering a baby, having surgery, or getting anesthesia can temporarily stop the hair growth cycle. (Because the hair we see on our heads has actually taken months to grow, a person may not notice any disruptions of the hair growth cycle until months after the event that caused it.) This type of hair loss corrects itself.

    * Male-pattern baldness. Among adults, particularly men, the most common cause of hair loss is androgenetic (pronounced: an-druh-juh-neh-tik) alopecia, also called male-pattern baldness. This condition is caused by a combination of factors, including hormones called androgens and genetics. In some males, the hair loss can start as early as the mid-teen years. It can also occur in guys who take steroids like testosterone to build their bodies.

    What Can Doctors Do?

If you see a doctor about hair loss, he or she will check your scalp and, in some cases, may take hair samples. You may also be tested for certain medical conditions that can cause hair loss.

If medication is causing hair loss, ask the doctor if a different drug can be substituted. If your hair loss is due to an endocrine condition, like diabetes or thyroid disease, proper treatment and control of the underlying disorder is important to reduce or prevent hair loss. Using a product like minoxidil that can discourage hair loss and speed up hair growth also may be helpful. Alopecia areata can be helped by treatment with corticosteroids. And if a doctor finds that nutritional deficiencies are causing your hair loss, he or she may refer you to a dietitian or other nutrition expert.

    Catastrophic Hair Loss

Hair loss can be the first outward sign that a person is sick, so it may feel scary. Teens who have cancer and lose their hair because of chemotherapy treatments go through a difficult time, especially girls.

It can help to feel like you have some control over your appearance when you're losing your hair. Try some of the many options for disguising hair loss 鈥?such as wearing wigs, hair wraps, hats, and baseball caps. For most teens who lose their hair, the hair does return 鈥?including after chemotherapy. And hair loss during chemotherapy is usually a sign that the treatment is working to destroy the cancer cells because you can see how it's working on the good cells (your hair!).

    Taking Care of Your Hair

Eating a balanced, healthy diet is important for a lot of reasons, and it really benefits your hair. And don't forget to treat your hair well. For example, some doctors recommend using baby shampoo, shampooing no more than once a day, and lathering gently. Don't rub your hair too vigorously with a towel, either. Many hair experts suggest you consider putting away the blow-dryer and air drying your hair instead. If you can't live without your blow-dryer, try using it on a low heat setting.

Style your hair when it's dry or damp. Styling your hair while it's wet can cause it to stretch and break. And try to avoid teasing your hair, which can also cause damage. Finally, be careful when using chemicals 鈥?such as straighteners or color 鈥?on your hair.
First off don't use pantene or head and showders!!! Their products have a high ph balance and will only work while you use them. You should use Paul Mitchelle tea tree care or thickening shampoo. Takes about six months. Or you could also try Nexus thickening. That also will work. Nexus also has a treatment for Hair loss. It takes about a year with this product. You can purchase any of these at a salon.
Your body's level of DHT production (which is hereditary to some extent) is the main culprit. Case in point, it's hormonal. Either your body produces a lot of testosterone or you are genetically predisposed to being very sensitive to the effects of DHT. If you also have a lot of body hair or thick body hair it is definitely DHT levels. It may also be from stress, a reaction to Sulfactants (common inside many of the cheaper soaps/shampoos/conditioners), or a poor diet high in transitive fats. It's not uncommon to develop hair loss as early as 17, I sure did. If you don't want to see it progress than you need to do something about it now, because once the follicles have shrunken and closed for over 2 years or so it will be forever impossible to bring that hair back. Consider Finasteride or Propecia, both of which come in generic versions which are available cheaper from international pharmacies (order online). Consuming lots of soy also helps somewhat, it is a testosterone atagonist to some degree. Be aware that balding is essentially an effect of testosterone, and as such any means to combat it will involve hormonal altercation which runs the (small but very real) risk of diminished sexual drive and/or function. Topical Minixoidil (Rogaine) will help hair follicles open up and discourage shrinking but it alone is not enough to reverse balding, it will only slow it or enhance the effects of Finasteride/Propecia.
Mix salt and yogurt and massage it on your hair. I hope this help you. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vitamins are essential for proper hair growth. For healthy sebum in the scalp we require vitamin A. Graying and loss of hair is arrested with the intake of Vitamin B6 and B12. Keratin is produced by Biotin and hair follicles are kept healthy by inositol. Panthothenic acid and Para-amino benzoic acids are also beneficial. These vitamins are present in fruits such as lemon, pineapple and strawberry and in vegetables such as potato.

I have thinning/loss of hair, itchy scalp, and lots of dandruff?

It sucks, and I don't know what to do about it. I have been using Nizoral but it does not seem to be helping. Could this be several problems, or could it all be related to one problem?

The hair loss/thinning seemed to have started before, but more recently I have noticed a lot of dandruff and itchy scalp that won't go away, no matter how often I use Nizoral (and I have within the past few days started keeping the Nizoral on my scalp for several minutes before rinsing). I don't want to use Head %26amp; Shoulders since I hear that this causes hair thinning also.

As for my hair loss, I have been trying Rogaine for a few months, but I don't know how much it is helping (but I do admit that I miss applications quite often). A couple of days ago I read that I should start taking a B-Complex vitamin to help with hair loss, so I just started doing this. If this doesn't work, I will probably try Propecia.

Any advice for me? Being that they started at different times, I am skeptical if they are due to the same cause, but maybe it could be? Could it be head lice or something?

Thanks!I have thinning/loss of hair, itchy scalp, and lots of dandruff?
It's time to go see a physician... you need to get some bloodwork done. There's something far more going on here than just dandruff. It doesn't seem like lice... seems like it could be something going on in your blood. Thyroid problems can cause hair loss... and so can several different vitamin deficiencies.

Either way, it's something to go see a physician about.I have thinning/loss of hair, itchy scalp, and lots of dandruff?
My hair falls out a lot, but I don't worry about that because your hair is supposed to fall off. and mine grows back, if it didn't grow back I'd probably be bald. I use head and shoulders.

Go to a salon and ask them or a doctors , But I'd prefer a salon. Ask them what the best shampoo/conditioner is for your condition.
Check your diet Shawn, If you eat lots of starchy/sugary foods such as donuts and pastries, this could cause this problem.

  • Dog has loss of hair and scratches all the time?

A stray dog came up last summer and we took her in because no one ever claimed her. Months went by and she has started to scratch and sometimes not even scratch herself, just the motion of her scratching. She also chews at herself like she itches. Some of her hair has fallen out. I have done research and I know this does not look like the mange, and we have two other dogs who are also in the house with us. Could she be allergic to something or would it be stress? She's been with us since June of 2008 and was doing great until recently. We've given her benadryll and baths with medicated shampoos. She does not have fleas. Any ideas what this could be? We plan on taking her to the vet soon, but any help would be appreciated.Dog has loss of hair and scratches all the time?
    Yep, could be allergies.

Might be something in her environment (a surprising number of dogs are allergic to grass, for example), or it could be an allergy to her food.

What are you feeding her? Specifically, does the food contain corn and/or grains? Corn is highly allergenic to many dogs, and sometimes the only symptom of allergy is skin/coat issues. Grains are less problematic, but some dogs are allergic to them.

I'd agree that your dog needs to see the vet to rule out mange, etc., and possibly undergo allergy testing, but in the meantime, check the ingredients in your dog food.

ADDED: OH, LORD ... please don't feed your dog Ol' Roy. That is about the crappiest of all crappy foods.

Yes, she WILL eat a better food if that's all you offer her.

About the grass ... well, dogs don't really understand what allergies are, so if she's allergic to grass, she doesn't know it. Which means she won't stop rolling in it (some dogs just love to roll in ... anything!)

Another thing to consider ... some dogs just scratch and bite themselves because they get kinda neurotic, or they use it as a ';comfort'; behavior. Seriously. If your vet rules out skin/allergy issues, you might need to find something for your dog to do that distracts her from scratching.Dog has loss of hair and scratches all the time?
    firstly i think u have a wonderful heart :).

secondly it could be scabies..for that you will have to apply medicated lotions, just bath by medicated shampoo will notbe enough..also it can spread easily to the other dogs so you have to treat it soon.

i thinks its a good idea that you are taking her to a doc..good luck
even though flea treated, dogs and cats can have an allergy to fleas which causes them to bite and pull out hair etc. the sooner the vet visit the better - treatment of allergy or dermatitis is not expensive. an antibiotic treatment could help as well. strange it's only just started.
could be skin allergies caused from cheap dog food that has corn in it...stay away from dog food with corn...feed lamb and rice...or it could be the dog is allergic to fleas...don't know if it has fleas or not ....does the dog have flakey skin?...if so dry skin....hope this helps you
What kind of food are you feeding her? If you're feeding her something generic or cheap, that could be the problem. If not, she might have a food allergy to whatever she's eating.
Ol Roy is a terrible food and is likely causing allergy issues. Good for you for taking in this pup, she is a very lucky girl!!
my cousin had a cat that did that, vet said it was anxiety...kitty anxiety...
It sounds like mange, but it could be allergies. Many dogs have allergies. The only way to tell is if the vet does a skin scraping.
The food is it in alll likelyhood.

    Ol'roy is crap, beyond crap.

Switch to a higher quality brand and let the dog starve for a few days. She will get it.

here is what you do after the switch to get her to eat it:

Set it out in her bowl.

Wait 5 to 10 minutes for her to eat, pick it up if not eaten and let her starve until the next meal.

Again offer it for 5 to 10 minutes. if not eaten, put it away.

This can and may go on for serveral days since she is used to starving. I would not give in.

if she is eating minimum to survive, try another brand. There are many high quality dog foods out there you can try. You just have to try for your dog.

At this point a step up would be purina, but even then, there is a ton of room for improvment in dog food quality.

Here is a good site to look at:

    http://www.dogfoodproject.com

    http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com
Ol Roy is junk. Try getting her to eat something different. Mix the Ol Roy with a higher quality food and gradually add more good food until she gets used to the newer, better quality food. That may be the problem. But dogs can be allergic to almost anything. And their reaction is not always instantaneous! So it could be the grass...it could be pollen, squirrel pee, bird droppings or anything else that could be in the grass. I have trouble with my dog in the fall with the falling leaves. And not just any leaf, oak leaves!! I have maple trees in my yard, and she doesn't have a problem. But when I take her out for our walks, she walks through oak leaves, and her feet break out, she gets blisters and I know they hurt like heck!! She will limp and whine.

This could also be hot spots, which will cause itching and her fur falling out. But whatever it is, I would take her to the vet and get it checked out. Changing the food, or a medication from the vet will definately help.

What causes loss of hair on legs feet constant bitting on skin buttocks area inflamed 4 year old maltese teac?

it's either really bad fleas, mange, or a form of eczema/ take him to the vets to be sure before treating it with anything. What causes loss of hair on legs feet constant bitting on skin buttocks area inflamed 4 year old maltese teac?
    Here are a few possibilities:

    - Alergies (food, contact... )

    - Fleas (allergy to them, infestation...)

    - Anal glands are full (since she is biting her rear)

    - Boredom

    - Obsessive licking and biting that continues after an older incident

The best thing is to take him/her to the Vet. All this biting and licking can create a secondary infection. Most likely she feels miserable because of this.

Good luck! What causes loss of hair on legs feet constant bitting on skin buttocks area inflamed 4 year old maltese teac?
I assume you have checked for fleas. If you have, what type of food are you feeding your dog? Some cheaper dog foods are full of fillers like corn, wheat, chicken by-products like beaks, feathers, feet etc. that can cause allergic reactions in some dogs. I would suggest that you try a high end dog food like California Blend, Canidae, Wysong, Wellness. It may take a few weeks for the results to happen, but I'm willing to bet that it will taken care of the problem.

Loss of hair after proper dieting and exercising?! WIll cutting short my hair stop hair loss?

I realise my hair is dropping alot more than normal after i do proper dieting and regular exercising. What reasons could it be? I been counting what i eat and i am sure im not under eating and have been receiving enough nurition and vitamins. I jog for 30mins daily too! I had lost about 7 kg within 2 months. Before i start my dieting, i had a very unhealthy diet, almost fastfood for all 3 meals. I am suspecting the lost of hair is probably due to the sudden change of diet. Is that possible? Since my body had a sudden change (even if it is a healthy one), i think hormone level went unbalance? I been dropping hair for 2 weeks now, what should i do? Will cutting my hair short prevent more hair loss? Thinking of getting a close shave or something if it worksLoss of hair after proper dieting and exercising?!

Loss of hair at age 16?

Im a 16 yr old guy and my hairline is receding. it receded so much that i lost my widows peak. I shower with shampoo and conditioner everyday and i also use the straightener everyday. Ive been straightening my hair for a while but in the past month, i noticed that my hairline is receding alot in the front and back of my head. My hair seems thinner too. And i have kinda long hair(bangs go over my eyebrows/side go past my ear). Am I balding? Is my hair going to grow back anytime soon? Is there anyway to fix this?

PS-i dont: wear hats/dye my hair but i use a hair straightener.

My barber says most people recede either at your age or in the late 20's. It's rarer to do so later.

Stress can trigger this, but ultimately, it's genetic and inescapable.

What's confusing is that your hair is also 'receding' at the back which is not a normal pattern of a genetic receding hairline.

    Don't blame the dog! :)
I'm thinking that it could be either stress or have you recently changed your diet? If you aren't eating healthy or getting enough nutrients then hair loss can occur. Also, it's best to not wash your hair everyday as it strips your hair of its natural oils - maybe stop straightening it for awhile as well to give it a break and see if anything improves or you stop losing. Genetics also may play a role in this all because many start balding young depending on your genetics, etc. Hope this helps.
Sometimes it could be caused by stress.
it can be from stress, not sleeping enough or your thyroid that may bot be working properly, having this causes hair loss or hair thinning and gain of weight. If you do have this they will give you pills to take and will control it.Go to your doctor and just check to be safe =]
You need to use a hair treatment like provillus. I've been on it for 5 weeks and i must say there is a major improvement in my part. It has all the vitamins your hair needs and much more.I've used it and I had very good results.Provillus contains the only FDA-approved topical ingredient clinically proven to re grow hair.

I am sure this product will be worth your time for a second look since your money would be going into the right hands. In a survey conducted, 18 out of 20 people experienced a drastic change after using this product. None experienced any side effects.

Provillus offers the best possible and perennial solution for this problem for both men and women. One of the best parts of the provillus treatment is that it uses natural ingredients. This has accounted for its rising popularity. Thus it leaves the other products behind in this context, since most of the products contain harmful chemicals.

Provillus basically functions by removing the main cause of hair loss i.e. DHT. DHT damages the hair follicles and is responsible for the thinning of hair. It also restricts the re-growth of new hair. Provillus prevents its formation and it also promotes the growth of the new hair.

I use it once a day every evening. The area which i was balding in was the top middle portion of my head, not sure why cause no one in my family is loosing hair accept me so its not genetic. I have regrowth in that area, few strands are coming up and my wife says its so much better than it was before.

Well you might be aware that it is available for both men and women. The saw palmetto extract is basically present in the men's version whereas a combination of acids is present in the female version. Thus in addition to the solution of problem of hair loss it also nourishes hair.

Till now Provillus has been getting positive feedbacks so you needn't worry and instead be assured. It offers the its users complete satisfaction.

If you would like more information on what a natural hair re-growth product can do for you. I urge you to visit the url in the source box below.

Loss of hair at 17 help?

Hi, i am 17 and i have had thick hair all my life... and ive always kept it pretty long but just recently i have noticed that its falling out in the shower.

I am very healthy i have had my fair share of checkups and i am taking pills for healthy hair, i use all the detanglers and heat protectants split end menders. I dont blow dry my hair often i just let it air dry. Ive tried different shampoos and conditioners..result is the same.

I really cant figure it out... its about in the middle of my back, would it maybe be better if i cut it off? would that help? I really dont like to go short but i wanna save my hair, so if there is a nessicary length to save it what is the length?

ThanksLoss of hair at 17 help?
as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections, hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)

It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair! I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!Loss of hair at 17 help?
you cant make your hair grow longer or fuller and thicker by chopping it off its just a myth. cutting it off has nothing to do with inside your head or your roots. make sure the pills are recomended by a doctor becuase most pills have side affects. However if you visit a hair stylist or prffesional salon they will recomend great hair shampoos or sprays that you spray on your roots wich really helps
You could be losing it because of stress.

Either way i suggest you go to your dr before you do anything.

Ask them about the best ways are to keep your hair. They may refer you to a specialist that can help you better. If not, and you're still worried, organise a consult with a specialist yourself.

I doubt cutting your hair would help much.
may be the water u are using not suits your hair

put dettol two or three drops in water and then wash ur hairs this will make the water germs free...n most probably solve ur problem...
Eating Disorders can make your hair fall out so please be honest with youself! Second stop taking those pills you dont honestly know what is in them. Dont brush your hair as often because that can make your hair fall out if you brush to much. It could be genetic, so talk to you parents. and eat more protein, fish, meats, nuts, edemame and healthy fats as well. Also you may want to get a check up especially if it isnt a family trait, you could have lupis( which is a full on medical disease,) if the thinning is happening at such a fast rate. Check web md if you want to check for symptoms.

    Prayer can also help

i have been using the same hair products for years so i dont think thats the problem and my diet has been the same for ages....

any suggestions on how to make my hair fuller and not falling out ?Loss of hair ...... lots of hair =(?
Go to the doctor silly! You may have something wrong with you.

Even if you don't THINK you do, you may actually have something wrong.Loss of hair ...... lots of hair =(?
I'm not sure if you're stressed or not but that could be some of the reason for your loss of hair. I would start taking Biotin (5000mcg) a day! I know that sounds a lot but it really works wonders. I would also start conditioning and doing hot oil treatments because that will give the hair the strength it needs.
are you stressing about something, taking any medication, have you gotten a chemical treatment on your hair.any of these things can easily cause hair loss.a shampoo and conditioner that gives you volume and fullness is what you should get and a critical conditioning for damage.
College classes started around that time, could be stress. If you are a guy, then that is kind of normal? i don't know, still in HS (taking college classes 2)
Garlic pills even the odorless ones help lessen hair shedding and try increasing your protein intake. And vitamins would hurt try hair skin and nails GNC
Use Aphogee Hair Products they are good for strengthening hair. I know from experience.
you may need to see a doctor about that. that just seems strange.
I had taht once and I told my doctor, he tested my throid

HELP!!!Loss of hair with minestrin 1/20?!!!?
how much do you lose hair?

if it is ~100 hair per day then it is normal!Loss of hair with minestrin 1/20?!!!?
Hi. Birth control pills can cause hair loss. It happened to me when i started taking them. Be glad you're only losing a little hair, i lost almost all of mine. It all grew back about 6 months later, but i was devastated when it fell out. I didn't know what was going on, so i went to see a Dermatologist that specialized in hair loss, and she told me it was from the pill. I wish i would have known that could happen because i never would have started taking them. If you read the insert that comes in your pill packet, it will list hair loss as a side effect ( i always read those now when i get a prescription ). It's from your body trying to adjust to the hormonal change from the pill. I wouldn't stay on that brand if you have that side effect ( my hair fell out for a long time because i didn't stop taking mine at first ). I'm sure you don't want to go through that. Hopefully, you won't lose as much as i did, it was horrible. Good luck :-)

Not sure about a 16 year old, but I started ordering the generic version of Propecia online at 40 and i am currently 43 and have the best head of hair that i have had in 10 years. I never told anyone i was using it and everyone noticed. Im sure it doesnt work this well for everyone but it did for me. I experienced no side effects. The negative is, that it only works while you take it. Thats why i found a cheap source online http://www.4-rx.net And i dont have to run to the doctor for a prescription when i order.

Just click on the generic name finasteride.

They are also doing studies on dutasteride, but i have no personal experience with that. Its on the site also. Initial studies are showing it up to 30% more effective than propecia. The brand name for dutaseride is Avodart.

I think you must still be in adolescence if your pubes are not growing back. Don't worry, you'll have more hair than you know what to do with a few years. Yes, male models shave their bodies, as do various male athletes. There are different products and methods for doing this, but I would not recommend shaving the pubes accept maybe the scrotum. Its called stress. Stress is known to cause premature grayness in the hair and premature wrinkles. Stress can only be treated with a relaxing bath, lots of alcohol, or sex.

Well from all I have seen and read, most causes of baldness are untreatable, so really it is not about preventing hair loss, but more about preventing ';Loss of self Esteem';.

Apart from the occasional joke about having a shiny head, I think you will find there is no where in this world where people are actually discriminated against because of Baldness. I have even seen a bald guy in a Shampoo advertisement!

You are who you are and that is who you must be proud of. Hair or no hair. Life is full of little sign posts that remind us of our aging and baldness just happens to be one of those. Just like your last game of football, or your daughters wedding or your first Grandchild. I like to think positive about these sign posts and I say to myself..';Wow! I made it this far!!'; Another thing to ponder on... There are a lot of woman out there who think that a bald head is very Sexy!! So don't throw your self esteem in the bin with your old hair brush... And don't go getting wigs or hair pieces... they just tell people you got low self esteem, and the jokes are a lot worse than being bald...
