Does loss of sleep mean loss of hair?

I'm a male and I go to sleep 2 A.M. everyday and wake up at 12 pm. Everytime I sweep my fingers through my hair, I have hair on my fingers.Does loss of sleep mean loss of hair?
Well, 2AM to 12PM is 10 hours of sleep so I doubt its loss of sleep...

Stress maybe?Does loss of sleep mean loss of hair?
Loss of hair is due to hereditary factors.

Loss of sleep would give you too many side effects like mania or depression or even schizoprenia and a host of other psychiatric diseases.
Unless its causing you more stress, I don't see how - but I really can't be sure.
Hey Shawn,

Certainly not, I am a hairstylist loss of sleep dosen't mean loss of hair. But what could be happenning is our not giving your body enough rest. One thing people don't belive or realize is if you stress it will make you lose hair.If you don't drink plenty of water it will definitely make you lose hair. Now not getting enough rest br careful b/c your body will eventually give out and you could risk passing out !
No, I don't think lack of sleep has anything to do with loss of hair. Check you genealogy, maybe it is inherited.
i do that on weekends and people think im crazy when i wake up in the afternoon and go to sleep in the morning.and my hair doesn't fall.
Dude.... sorry to say...you ARE BALDING...sleep time is not relavant. Welcome to the club.
Thats not neccessarily from that. It could be many things. I am a 15 year old girl and i dont go to bed till like three and then wake up at 10am. I believe the average is, you lose about 500 strands of hair a day..I might be off a little. Or you could have some kind of sickness. Or you may just need to wash your hair more often or get a better shampoo. :] Hope this helps.
do you have hair on your fingers BEFORE you ';sweep'; them through your hair?
Stress, lack of sleep and diet can

all be reasons hair loss.

These factors cause a chemical

inbalance that turns testosterones

into DHT which leads to hair loss.
I don't think so. Hair loss might be due to strong ingredients in your shampoos, hair gels... etc. Or it is perhaps hereditary.
That's normal. Maybe your hair is thinning, do you notice that you have more hair around the house than normal? Because it could be stress, or a thyroid problem.
Hair loss is related to stress and genetics and more often than not the two are one in the same. Your sleep pattern does not fall into the norm either. Whatever job you have (if you have one), find another shift

';Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise'; Yawn. Sorry, it just spran up out of nowhere, honest. but ...take out the wealthy part and you still have it pretty good.
2am is kiddy time try 5am.
No, my hair falls out so much too, after i brush my hair, about 60 strands fall out on the counter....................you could be low on iron or it could be your diet.....try and eat more carbs and protein.

I doubt your balding
